Sundown & Snow

Sweater: Target // Shirt: J. Crew (old) // Skirt: Asos (similar here) // Tights: Hue // Boots: Hunter // Bag: Tory Burch // Watch: MK // Bracelet: Lord and Taylor // Sunnies: Karen Walker

Sundown after a blizzard seemed like the best time to take some outfit pictures! It was so peaceful and lovely outside (and SO ridiculously icy - thank goodness for my Hunter's).

I'm loving my new skirt from ASOS, and this Fairisle sweater from Target was such a great find! I layered it with an oxford shirt from J. Crew - layering is key during the winter months!

Thank you for stopping by! I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Dressing for the Holiday's [Pt. 4] // Dresses

Dresses are always a classic choice for the holidays and in my opinion, you really can't go wrong with wearing one! My only advice is to make sure you find a dress that makes you feel great. Here are few options that I could see myself wearing for a holiday party:

#1: Feminine: This dress is the epitome of a classic dress. The pale pink color softens the look and the sheer top adds a little mystery! Pair it was red shoes and cute earrings to complete the look. Feel free to layer on the bracelets to add a little more to the outfit.

#2 Edgy: This sheer and metallic look is a little more edgy but still holiday appropriate. I would pair such a dress with a simple gold necklace and black pumps, and maybe wear my hair in a low, messy up-do!

#3: Festive: Like I said, you can't go wrong with plaid! I can't get over how cute this dress is. I would find a way to wear this even if it wasn't the holiday season! Just to stick with the festive theme, sparkly shoes are a must.  To add a classic touch, throw on some pearls and you're holiday ready!

Happy Holidays everyone!

Dressing for the Holiday's [Pt. 3] // Pants

I don't know about you all, but I am totally a "pants" girl. You know, some people gravitate towards skirts or dresses... my thing is pants.

#1. Tartan: Tartan or plaid pants are perfect for the holidays. Festive and yet still stylish - it's a double win! I paired these with a simple red top and nude pumps. With a little clutch, subtle yet classic earrings and necklace, and a top knot with a bow (of course), you have the perfect holiday outfit.

#2: Leather // Knits: As much as I want real leather leggings... let's be serious, I just can't afford it! But there are some faux leather options that are great for really all occasions. They're super chic and slimming. Add a chunky sweater (if you've been reading these posts, you know I love me a chunky knit) and chunky earrings to top off the look. I LOVE these sparkly shoes, too. They give the outfit a little pazazz!

Thanks for stopping by! Make sure to check back tomorrow for Pt. 4 of this series!

Dressing for the Holidays [Pt. 2] // Skirts

Hi everyone! Skirts are always a go-to staple in my closet, no matter what time of the year it is. They offer so much variety in a closet and are really perfect for everyday wear. Let's talk about styling skirts for the holidays.

#1: Fun and Flirty // This short feather skirt is so freaking cute. Perfect for a night out with friends and can transition nicely for a holiday affair. I love the idea of pairing it with cute sweater (literally dying over the bow) and heels; the unexpected pairing of a girly top with more of an edgy/flirty bottom equals a quite feminine and effortless look. If you're looking for more of a glam look, wear a loose, colorful top (tucked in) with a delicate necklace. Throwing on a faux fur jacket over the top screams luxury and glamorous, but is still some-what refined. I would wear a nude or pale pink lip with either of these outfits, as there is already a lot of color and texture going on.

#2: Comfy Chic // I've really taken a liking to maxi skirts this year. They are the definition of comfy chic. This black maxi skirt can be dressed up or dressed down, and can be perfect for the holidays. I paired it here with a chunky sweater, chain necklace that fits the neckline, and a bold red lip. The leopard flats give it a little something extra! The pink shirt & faux fur jacket would also look great paired with this maxi skirt!

Dressing for the Holidays [Pt. 1] // Shorts

[all images via Polyvore
Happy Holiday's everyone! I thought it would be a fun idea to write up a series based around dressing for the holidays. I feel like everyone has their own style preference during the holidays, meaning some prefer comfort, some prefer getting all glammed up, and others are maybe in between! This style series will hopefully offer some outfit inspiration for any and all tastes!

Let's discuss shorts. While shorts are mainly associated with warm weather, there are ways to make them winter-friendly with the help of some tights, of course. These gold pleated shorts are super chic and offer a great base to build a holiday outfit off of.

#1: Pair the shorts with a sparkly top (after all, it is the holidays!) and a chic blazer to pull the outfit together. Throw on some super sheer black tights, awesome black pumps, and statement earrings to finish off the look.

#2: If you're more of the "I just want to be comfortable" group, a chunky knit and statement necklace gives off just the right vibe. It says "I'm super comfortable and look fantastic." Sheet tights and booties will look great with this, but you could also wear footless tights and ballet slipper flats for an even more effortless and laid back look.

Make sure to check back tomorrow for Pt. 2!

5050 / Blue Tweed

Jacket: Old Navy (now on sale!) // Turtleneck: borrowed // Skirt: J. Crew Factory (on super sale!) // Tights: Hue // Boots: Stuart Weitzman '5050' // Bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim // Watch: MK // Necklaces: Blair Eadie x BaubleBar, NYLA STAR // Nails: Essie "Bahama Mama" // Sunnies: Karen Walker

Welp, my beautiful new boots are finally making an appearance on the blog. I am so in love with these, it's ridiculous! I've wanted these for a longggg time and when my nearest Bloomingdales called to tell me a pair in my size (side note: these were sold out across the country in my size) was just returned in store AND they would hold them for me AND I was going to be able to put the Friends + Family discount towards them... well, I nearly died. If that's not fate, than I don't know what is! Needless to say, I am more than happy with my purchase. You all will be seeing these a lot over the next few months!

Make sure to come back and check out the blog this week, I'm going to be doing a 4 part feature on How To: Dressing for the Holiday's!

As always, thanks for stopping by! Xo

Sweater: Banana Republic // Jeans: A + F // Coat: J. Crew (similar color here) // Shoes: Target // Bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim // Watch: MK // Earrings: Kate Spade // Sunnies: Karen Walker

I must admit, it's been a veryyy long time since I've stepped foot into an Abercrombie & Fitch, but once I saw Krystin, from Suburban Faux-Pas, wearing these jeans, I knew I had to go check them out. I'm a sucker for anything embellished.... and how do you beat jeans on sale for $40?? You simply cannot.  Needless to say, I walked out of the store with these babies and didn't look back. They add some tasteful sparkle when you don't feel like layering on the jewelry.
Happy Monday! Xo
