Fall Boot Guide

Boots are an essential closet staple for Fall and Winter, so I've rounded up some of my favorites for you guys! I'm a big fan of over-the-knee boots, as I feel they really add a chic element to any outfit. I prefer to pair them with skinny pants or skirts/dresses! The chelsea style boot is really in this year, so I've included a few simple black ones that can go with just about anything. I have my eye on adding a pair of grey boots to my closet this season, as I don't own any and have plenty of black boots hanging around! Also, can we discuss how freaking cute those Loeffler Randall rain booties are?? They don't even look like rain boots!

Sweater Weather

Sweater: little shop in Portsmouth, NH // Jeans: J Brand // Shoes: Tory Burch via Nordstrom Rack // Clutch: Louis Vuitton (borrower from my mom!) // Earrings: Lisi Lerch // Watch: MK // Sunnies: Karen Walker

Sweater Weather is officially here and I am beyond excited.

Kyle and I took a day trip up to Portsmouth, NH a few weeks back and I picked up this sweater from one of the cute little shops in town! It's actually a mens sweater and is really too big for me, but I wanted it so badly that I knew I could make it work. I rolled up the sleeves at least 3x and tucked the bottom into my jeans to give me a little shape.

Hope you have a great day!

Fall Staples

It's officially Fall and I could not be more excited! It's my absolute favorite season. Any time I can curl up in a big sweater, jeans, and booties is just about my favorite thing! To get you guys prepared for the cooler temps, I've put together a list of my go-to Fall Staples!

A chunky knit is a must.
Plaid anything.
Boyfriend jeans are comfy and super chic.
Slip-on sneakers make any outfit instantly cool.
Aztec print blazer to keep your wardrobe a little bright.
Fun sunnies to contrast a darker wardrobe pallet.
A satin cami perfect for layering.
A classic bootie.
(Faux) fur anything.
Pearls everywhere (people keep saying pearls are "back," but I never thought they were "out"!)
A timeless shirtdress (also a great layering tool).

Happy Shopping!

Floppy Hat

Shirt: Old Navy // Jeans: Gap // Shoes: Target // Hat: borrowed from my Sis // Watch: MK //
Sunnies: Karen Walker

If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen that I had tried on this blouse at Old Navy over the weekend (with these jeans on, might I add!). After trying it on, I knew it would be a great versatile piece for the Fall and at only $15, how could I say no?? It also comes in a bunch of different colors (navy, light blue, and pink), so if you're not wanting it in grey, the other colors are great too!

While on my weekly Target trip, I found these heels and nearly died. They are SO chic and affordable (only $40!). They are part of the Sam & Libby collection, which I'm seriously loving. Their Fall shoe collection is on point!

Have a good one!

Messy Bun // Red Lip

Shirt: Madewell // Faux Leather Leggings: Nordstrom Rack // Shoes: Nordstrom Rack // Bag: A.L.C. //
Watch: MK // Sunnies: ASOS

I hope you guys had a nice weekend! I did a bit of shopping this weekend and I found these fun faux leather leggings for $25 at Nordstrom Rack... so obvs I had to take them home! They are SO comfy and fit better than most that I've tried on. What I love about these pants is that they are really versatile, especially now that Fall is here! This chambray shirt gives them a more relaxed vibe (would have looked cute with sneakers too!), but I also wore them out on Saturday night with a silk blouse. Totally going to rock these with a white button down, jean jacket, and my Keds too!

Have a great day!

Fall Pastels

Yes, I am that girl that wears pastels all year round! I don't believe they are just meant to be worn in the Spring and Summer; HOWEVER, I don't suggest wearing head-to-toe pastels in the dead of winter. Just incorporate one or two pieces into your outfit, which will create a nice soft look during the harsher months! I'd love to pair the ASOS pink skirt with a chunk grey knit and black flats. The fur jacket would look great with an all white look - potentially white denim with a silk white blouse? So chic! The Zara bag would add a nice little touch to an all black ensemble paired with a cute topknot and bold lip. So many possibilities!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Scalloped Blazer

Blazer: Humble Chic NY (on sale!) // Shorts: J. Crew (old) // Shoes: Jack Rogers // Bag: Mansur Gavriel // Necklace: little boutique from SoHo // Sunnies: thrifted

I feel like I have a 70's meets prep vibe going on with this outfit! My crazy hair, oversized sunnies, and necklace scream the 70's but my blazer, shorts, and shoes are all prep. Somehow, I feel like it all works!

After seeing Emily from Life With Emily wear this blazer, I knew I had to have it! I mean honestly, who doesn't love a good scallop??

Have a great day!

Brand Spotlight: Lulu and Georgia

I have definitely been in a sort-of "nesting" mode lately. Ever since Kyle and I moved in together, got engaged, and are now planning a wedding, all I can think about is our next place (maybe our first house?!?) that we can go all out and decorate. We unfortunately don't have that luxury right now, as the walls of our apartment are made of concrete (our building is veryyyy old) and I can't hang a damn thing on the walls... it is literally the worst!

While I'm limited to what I can buy for our place currently, I have been collecting some things for the future as well as just cumulating a very long To Buy list! I love love love Lulu & Georgia, the cutest interior decor website around. It offers such chic and affordable options for your home - from comfy chairs, to lamp sets, to cute prints, and their rugs are amazing (I am literally dying for the one above)!

If you're in the midst of freshening up your space or your starting from scratch, I highly suggest you head on over to their site; I promise you won't be disappointed!

Blue and White Striped Mini

Happy Monday y'all!

I am in LOVE with this little dress I scooped up at Lord & Taylor recently. It's so comfy and fits like a glove!

What did you guys do this weekend? Kyle and I stayed in both nights (it was SO nice) and just lounged around. Sometimes you need weekends like that to recharge, especially before a busy week ahead!

Dress: Lord & Taylor (similar here) // Shoes: Steve Madden (old) // Necklace: Lord & Taylor (similar here) // Bag: Tory Burch (old) // Watch: MK // Ring: Lord & Taylor // Sunnies: Karen Walker

In writing this, I'm realizing that most of my outfit is from Lord & Taylor! Do you guys shop there as often as I do? It's always my mom and I's first stop when we hit up the mall! They always have such a great selection at a variety of prices. I was able to snag both this necklace and dress on sale, along with my new ring (that I am uhhbsessed with) on major sale.

Hope you all have a great day!

NYFW Spring 2015: Monique Lhuillier

Is there anything more beautiful than a Monique Lhullier gown? I think not! This is probably one of her best shows to date... let's just sit back and enjoy the beauty:
