Fab Finds Friday vol. 2

It's finally Friday folks! Seriously though... TGIF. Any fun plans this weekend? I don't have much going on, and I'm pretty excited about it! I could use at least a do-nothing day, filled with laying on the couch, catching up on Suits (I am SO behind on Season 3), and maybe doing some online shopping (it's supposed to rain the entire weekend!).  Here are a few things I'm currently lusting!

1. This cute top handle satchel. Really love the navy and gold combo.
2. A neutral color blouse w/ a slit up the back? A must!
3. Simple pair of sunglasses for the Spring season.
4. This necklace will enhance any outfit!
5. Simple yet detailed earrings for everyday wear.
6. This drop waist dress is amazing.
7. A girl can dream for these...
8. High-waisted lace shorts - would look super cute with #2!
9. My copy of Rachel Zoe's new book should be delivered today - I can't wait to dive in!

Have a lovely weekend!

H&M Conscious Exclusive Collection

I am so excited about the upcoming Conscious Exclusive collection for H&M! All of the pieces are eco-friendly (and super chic) and will only be available at a few storefronts and online - needless to say, I will be waiting at my computer the second it goes live. I'm especially loving the lace and embellished pieces - maybe I'll even be bold and go for the high-waisted pants / crop top combo!

From a first glance, what are your favorite pieces??

Pop of Pink

Shirt: Nordstrom Rack // Vest: Bloomingdales // Pants: J. Crew // Shoes: J. Crew Factory // Bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim // Necklace: my grandmother's // earrings: hand-me-down from my mom // Watch: MK // Sunnies: Karen Walker

I decided my fur vest was better than a jacket for a Friday night out in Boston this past weekend... how I was oh so wrong! The small glimpse of Spring weather disappeared as soon as the sun went down... brrrr. Anywho, Kyle and I had a fun night out! We started with a nice dinner with friends and then we all headed to the Gilt Warehouse Sale in downtown Boston! Unfortunately, I didn't find anything at the sale (my wallet was happy), but it was still a lovely night out.

Hope you all have a great day!

Fab Finds Friday

SPRING HAS SPRUNG! I'm talking more figuratively than literally, as it's still cold and there is still snow on the ground, but hey, the calendar says its Spring... so it's Spring! Warm weather please arrive ASAP. Therefore, my mind has fully wandered to pretty pastels, vivid florals, and strappy sandals. I am SO obsessed with this embroidered clutch... ASOS - pleasssse re-stock! Many thanks!

Happy Friday everyone!!

Emma Watson | Elle Magazine

You guys, I'm literally dying over Emma Watson's shoot for Elle's April 2014 Issue! I've always been a fan of Emma, and yes... this is going back to her Hermoine days! She's simply a naturally beautiful person (I love how I'm speaking as if we're best friends... I wish!). You can just tell she's a genuine class act with a huge talent and a killer fashion sense! What's not to love about her?!

HOLY GORGEOUS!!

I can't wait for this issue to come out so I can read the whole interview.

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend and you're ready for a new week ahead. This midi skirt was also a fantastic find from Express - I have worn it SO many times and in many different ways. I love it! If you're in the market for a new midi, I highly suggest it as it is very versatile and will carry well into Spring (sans tights - hooray!).

#TGIF

Happy Friday guys! Seriously... I really thought this week would NEVER end. It was one of the weeks where everything just seemed to put my stress levels and anxiety on overdrive. All I know is that I desperately need a nice, quiet weekend filled with a lot or R&R and TV watching. I'm sure you can all relate...

via

Now enough of my whining... It's basically the weekend! What do you guys have planned? Alongside the R&R and TV watching I plan to partake in, this weekend will be also be filled with a lot of mommy/daughter time, as my Dad and hubby-to-be are both away with friends. You know what they say: When the boys are away, the girls will play! My mom is an Interior Designer and I love to help her out when I can. Tomorrow we're headed to a few fabric and furniture stores to find some fun fabrics and pieces for a little girl's room my mom is currently decorating. Hopefully we'll throw some shopping, maybe some nails, and a girls dinner into the mix!

Have a wonderful Friday!

Wedding Wednesday

I am in full blown wedding mode people! I can't stop browsing the web, Pinterest, and any wedding blog (my favorite by FAR is Style Me Pretty) I can find to draw ideas and inspiration for Kyle and I's Big Day! Above are a few things from J. Crew Wedding, which I am obsessed with! This flower girl dress warms my heart and I love these Bridesmaid T's, perhaps for the morning of the wedding? I sent my sister this gorgeous Maid of Honor card, because it was pink and gold and I literally couldn't resist; hand written notes are definitely the way to go! I'm also in love with these gold kitten heel sandals, I think they would be perfect to wear on the Big Day, as I am truly a big baby when it comes to wearing uncomfortable heels for too long. I need to be able to dance the night away and not be mad at my feet! This Wedding Planner would be a great way to keep all wedding day details organized, as I'm finding out pretty quickly there is SO much that goes into a wedding!

From the Boys / Blazer & Denim

Blazer: J. Crew // Sweatshirt: Target // Jeans: Gap // Shoes: J. Crew Factory // Clutch: Gap (old) // Necklace: my grandmothers // Sunnies: Karen Walker // Lips: Stila "Fiore"

Happy Tuesday! Hope you guys are having a great day so far! As I mentioned in this post, my Gap boyfriend jeans have been my go-to on the weekends. Last weekend, I paired these jeans with a super cute floral sweatshirt and then added this boyfriend blazer to dress it up a bit. I must say, I bought this blazer a few weeks back and have already worn it a ton. It was definitely a great purchase and one that will transition nicely into Spring!

Inspiration | Weekend Wear

via Damsel in Dior

Happy weekend guys!! I'm so excited because today I'm trying on wedding dresses for the first time (eeek!!!)! I can't even believe this is still really happening...!

Anywho, I found this picture of Jacey from Damsel in Dior and realized that this outfit has been my go-to weekend look as of late! I wake up on Saturday's and instantly reach for my boyfriend jeans - I find them extremely comfortable and a perfect mix of laid-back and chic. I currently own these and I love them, but I found this pair recently and may just need to invest in them. I would wear these jeans with this super cute top (wish I could wear it today!), a stand-out blazer, chic heels, and a structured clutch

Hope you all have a great day!

Pitter Pattern

Dress: Peter Pilotto x Target // Turtleneck: mom's // Belt: Target // Tights: Hue // Heels: Nordstrom Rack // Bag: Phillip Lim x Target // Sunnies: Karen Walker

I couldn't wait any longer to wear this Peter Pilotto x Target dress I picked up in-store a few weeks back. I'm obsessed with the vibrant colors, fun patterns, and ruffle bottom... I die. I winterized this outfit by layering a sleek turtleneck underneath the dress and adding tights and low pointy heels!

Hope you all have a great day!

Best Dressed | Oscars 2014

Happy Monday all! I'm sorry I've been MIA this past week, I had some family things to attend to, but I'm back and ready to get my blogging on.

And what perfect timing... as the Oscars were on last night and it's probably one of my favorite nights of the year. I could watch red carpet coverage all day long and just tweet my heart away about all the details... yeah, sorry, I'm one of those people.

A major trend on the carpet last night was pastels/nude/blush with a few stars also taking on dark and bolder colors. I will say, overall, I was pretty impressed with most of the fashion last night, but then again, it takes a lot to disappoint me! Let's take a peak at some of my favorites.

Lupita in this custom "Nairobi Blue" Prada gown was stunning. Definitely my best dressed of the night! She knows what she likes and what looks good on her, and she's not afraid to wear different colors and shapes. I freaking love her! Plus, can we just discuss this headband? She is simply perfection. Also, if you haven't seen this, I highly suggest you click and enjoy!

J Law in this beautiful red Dior Haute Couture gown. Does she not just radiate elegance? Her hair is perfect and I love that she went with another back-draped necklace.

Chrissy Teigen in this Monique Lhuillier gown (w/ pockets!!) is a breath of fresh air and I believe one of the only ones to wear florals on the red carpet. She looks effortless and gorgeous.

Charlize Theron is killing it in this Dior Haute Couture dress with illusion straps and sheer paneling. I can't even deal. This dress fits her like a glove and is simply stunning.

Cate Blanchett knocks it out of the park, per usual, in this Armani Prive gown that truly has the most gorgeous embroidery detail I have ever seen. Not to mention those earrings are the perfect accessory to partner with this gown. This leading lady came to win!

Oh hey, Kate Hudson, here you come out of nowhere and blind us with your beauty on the red carpet! This Versace dress is breath taking and her entire look screams Hollywood Glam. Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous.

Sandra Bullock looks amazing in this navy Alexander McQueen gown and side-swept hair! The fit is perfect and the draping in the front is just enough to add some soft glam to the dress. I think she looks so beautiful!

Naomi Watts never disappoints on the red carpet. I love her in this white beaded Calvin Klein gown and the necklace adds a little edge to this overall soft look.

And for my two favorite pregnant ladies on the red carpet,  Olivia Wilde and Kerry Washington, were gorgeous and glowing last night. Olivia wearing Valentino and Kerry wearing Jason Wu, these two dressed their cute bumps perfectly. Both looked elegant and so chic, and were probably making every pregnant lady out there wishing they could look like this so far into pregnancy. What is their secret?!?
